Foster Parents

We were recently licensed by the Florida Baptist Children's Homes as foster parents, and on Thursday April 27, 2006, "Cassie" came to be our temporary foster child for an indefinite period of time. Cassie is 13 months old, blond haired, blue-eyed, and cute as a button. She is a very gentle and sweet little girl who loves to take baths and say "doggie, doggie!" all the time. She has four teeth, two on top and two on bottom. She makes Cheryl look like her blonde hair is real! Big Momma, our 13 month old miniature Yorkshire Terrier is happy to have her also. They both play together and love each other's company. Cassie is busy learning how to blow kisses to Mr. Bobby. She eats everything in sight, and we are trying with some success on getting her on a sleeping schedule. I have attempted to attach a picture of Cassie to this page. If you don't see it I guess I was unsuccessful in getting it on.
Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying God's purpose for your life. By the way, I'm re-reading "The Purpose-Driven Life." If you haven't read this book by Rick Warren, or even if you have and it's been a while, let me encourage you to pick it up and read it. It puts life and purpose all in perspective.

God bless you all!

We're still here!

Hello to all of our friends in blogland! We haven't forgotten or forsaken you, we've just been real busy at life. I hope you are doing well, and I hope that this blog finds you staying strong in the Lord.
Latest news from Pruiettville, we're both doing fine, we have a new addition to our family, "Big Mama" who arrived in May of 2005. She is a miniature Yorkshire Terrier and is the "boss." It's been big fun watching her grow. As of this writing (3/2/06), she is up to 3 1/2 pounds. She will not get any bigger. If I did everything right, her picture is attached to this blog. This is one of her first pictures, so I'll get a new one soon and put it on here.
Cheryl is actively involved in the Women's Ministry here at Northside. She is also taking a Medical Transcription class at the local vocational school. She wanted a job that would allow her to stay home, yet still make some money. She has a few months left before she completes her certificate.
Bobby is enjoying being the Minister of Music at Northside. He is also enjoying riding his bicycle every time the weather permits. He turned 41 years old on 12/15/05. He also got his very first cavity filled a few weeks ago.
Cheryl's parents are "snowbirding" here in Panama City this winter. They have been here since January, 2006, and will leave to go back to TN the first week of April. We have enjoyed their visits. Our grocery bill has actually gone DOWN since they have been here, because they like to eat out alot, and they always buy! Now that's what I'm talking about!! They have rented a condo on the beach these past 3 months, and will probably come back this fall and stay for about 6 months. As you can tell, they like it here a great deal.
That's about it for the latest news. Keep in touch via email/blog/phone, etc. May God's richest blessings be yours!
